Redesign merlocom.ch

2026.2

Self-promotion requires taking a step back from your own brand – and that is often the hardest part. This insight explains why the redesign of merlocom.ch was deliberately carried out from an external perspective and what design considerations lie behind it.

Marketing your own business is challenging – especially when you deal with marketing and communication issues daily. I find it easy to adopt a critical, strategic perspective on behalf of clients. That made it even more important to apply this same perspective to MERLOCOM’s own brand presence.

As with my clients, I deliberately sought an outside perspective and enlisted the expertise of a design professional. In Andy from Studio Andy Lang, I found not only a proven designer, but also a critical sparring partner who challenged me on the substance of the work. Our shared understanding of design created a solid foundation for our collaboration right from the start.

The aim was to create a timeless, visual design that reflects both my services and my approach – and can be consistently applied across my social media channels.

Drawing on the design elements of dots, circles and lines, Andy created striking visuals for my communication channels. The minimalist colour palette of taupe, dark blue and black, accented by subtle shades of red and orange, perfectly underscores my business philosophy.

A successful project of our own.
